Charles Zavala was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas and attended Texas Tech University. While at Texas Tech University, majoring in History and Spanish, Charles did this while simultaneously holding official positions in school associated clubs and committees. At Texas Tech University, Charles was a Varsity member of the NCAA Track and Field Team, competing in the Decathlon.

After completing his undergraduate degree, Charles studied at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. He was a member of the Hispanic Student Bar Association along with Mock Trial Team. Throughout all law school he worked with prominent Criminal Defense and Immigration attorney’s in Houston. Charles also interned with the Harris County District Attorney in Felony Court #337. He gained knowledge and experience by working on both sides of the criminal justice system.

Since becoming a lawyer, Charles has dedicated his work to encompass the area of Criminal and Immigration law. He has experience winning trials in front of the Department of Justice as well as State Criminal judges.
