Renewing your Green Card

Renewing your Green Card

A service that Zavala Texas law offers a lot of the Houston-based immigrants is renewing their legal permanent residence AKA green card.

If a person is fortunate enough to get a green card the immigration benefits are substantial and eventually gives them the chance to become US citizen. However, the green card is not a one-time-only thing the person must remember to renew their green card before it expires. Failure to renew a green card will mean that the immigrant falls out of legal status.

Therefore, it is very important for the person to always be aware of the date that their green card expires so that they can renew their green card.

Green cards are valid for 10 years before you must renew the green card. As part of our practice at Zavala Texas Law we suggest you submit card renewal at least 90 days before it expires.

An immigrant can renew their green card as many times as they want without any pressure to become a United States citizen.

There is paperwork that’ll be submitted as well as documentation to USCIS so that your green card could be renewed.

If you or anybody you know needs help renewing their green card, please feel free to call us at Zavala Texas Law. We have experience helping people from Houston renew their green cards.
